What can I receive when selling (old) electrical cables?
Naturally, you’re curious how much money you can still receive for the cables you sell. There’s no clear answer to that. The value will vary depending on the type of cable. The price also depends on the current market value.
When you hand in the cables to us, the quantity will be weighed. The weight is multiplied by the current market price for the cable type in question. You can also view this calculation and the measurement on-site.
Payment for the copper wire can also be made in cash. When selling large quantities of cables, the option of cash payment must be discussed in advance.
No appointment is required to return the cable. You are welcome to visit us on weekdays between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Feel free to contact us for more information.

What types of cables are there?
The value of cables depends on their weight, the current daily price, and the type of copper wire. The materials used vary per cable. Some cables contain a higher percentage of valuable materials than others. These include materials such as copper and aluminum.
Cables are divided into:
• PVC cable
• Data cable
• PEL cable
• Ground cable
• Wire harness
• Aluminum copper cable Solar panel cable
What is PVC cable?
A PVC cable is a type of electrical cable in which the insulation and/or outer sheathing is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a versatile and commonly used plastic material. These cables are characterized by their durability, flexibility, and affordability, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. PVC provides excellent electrical insulation, which is essential for preventing power loss and ensuring the safety of electrical installations. PVC cables are often used in electrical installations, for example, for lighting, switches, and outlets.
What is a data cable?
Data cables are used to transfer data between devices and systems and form the structural infrastructure for digital communication. They are essential in applications such as computer networks, where they connect routers, computers, and other network equipment. Data cables are typically made of copper, fiber optic, or other conductive materials and are often shielded to reduce signal loss and electromagnetic interference.

What are ground cables?
This type of cable usually consists of one or more conductors. These cables also contain insulation and a sturdy protective outer sheath. The insulation material can be PVC, rubber, or polyethylene, while the outer sheathing is often made of sturdy plastic or even metal. This is to prevent mechanical damage from, for example, excavation work. Some underground cables have additional armoring, such as steel braiding, to make them even more robust.
Underground cables are used in a variety of applications, such as electricity supply, telecommunications, and data transport.
What is Pel cable?
PEL cable has the same characteristics as PVC cable, but the copper content of this type of cable is much higher. Pel cable has a copper content of at least 60%. Because the value of this type of cable is higher, we also offer a higher price when purchasing.
You can recognize Pel cable by its thickness, among other things. These types of cables often have a higher capacity, which means they contain one or more thicker cores. This also results in a higher copper content.

Regulations regarding copper and brass purchasing
If you wish to sell copper or brass to us, we are required to make a copy of your ID. This creates a record of sellers at the drop-off points. This provides the police with additional information if such valuable materials are stolen in the North Groningen region.
Naturally, we handle the personal data from the copies with care. This information is not used for marketing purposes and is only accessible to a few employees.
On-site cable collection
Do you regularly have old cables available? Then we can provide you with a collection container. When it’s full, it can be collected free of charge. You will then receive the price per kilo for the type of cable.
